STTACC President Welcome Letter – by Nicci Gooch

Hello STTACC

I am Nicci Gooch, your 2024/2025 President of STTACC! I am honored and thankful to be apart of this organization that is looking to grow and uplift the classified staff across the state. I have been with the Community Colleges of Spokane for about 10 years if you count my time as a Student-Employee. I started at Spokane Falls Community College as a Student Ambassador, post-graduation I applied to become the SFCC Campus Visit Coordinator where I served in that position for over 6 years. For the last 2 years, I have been at Spokane Community College as the Campus Visit Supervisor. The opportunities that the Community Colleges of Spokane have provided me with the skills and ability to serve as the Staff Training for Technical and Community Colleges president for this year.

Getting involved in your organization or a partnering organization allows us to grow our understand and knowledge in many aspects. If you are wanting to get involved I highly encourage you to seek out opportunities to do so by going to meeting, asking your local leaders of ways to grow.

Conference – Wow! Thank you for joining us in Spokane for the Annual Conference in early August! It was such a joy to get to meet so many of you. I can not wait to be in the same spaces as you next year! Speaking of next year: If you think your college may be interested in hosting the Annual Conference next year, let’s chat!

The Staff Training for Technical and Community Colleges’ mission is STTACC supports innovation, training and leadership by providing resources and connections to our Classified Staff members throughout Washington. The STTACC Board is still seeking people to support our mission by getting involved in this volunteer board.
