It was great to get to know Ben Messner more and excited to know he’ll spend more time with us at the STTACC Summer Conference being Hosted by Spokane Community College.

Ben shared several tools including his go-to resource, StrengthsFinder, now known as CliftonStrengths, is a personal development tool that helps individuals discover their top talents and strengths. Developed from over three decades of research, the assessment identifies the presence of talents in 34 key areas, or “themes,” which are natural patterns of thought, feeling, or behavior that can be productively applied. The core philosophy of StrengthsFinder is to encourage people to focus on enhancing their innate talents rather than trying to improve their weaknesses. This approach is based on the belief that investing in one’s natural abilities leads to greater success and fulfillment. By understanding their unique set of talents, individuals can leverage them to achieve near-perfect performance in specific tasks and roles.
